Since I got into blogging, and I've mentioned in my previous blog entries before that I love web surfing and blog hopping, I have always come across into post or other bloggers and site owners that it is really a wise idea of having an own domain.
I still don't know how to do it, or why having a domain is a great move. So I did more research on it. And here's a summary on why having your domain is a must, the way I understand it.
1. Having an own domain is like "having your own house in your own lot." You could do what you want to do to your house, the way you want it. To better understand it, the house symbolizes your website or blog and the lot pertains to the domain.
2. Having an own domain, specially for a serious website owner looks more professional. You could design the background, and add stuffs, that are limited to you for just having your site in a sub domain.
3. The one I like about this is, and Im' sure most of us want is to control the advertisement that are showing into our pages or website. This is the reason why I'm also thinking of having my own domain name, so I could have full control on the ads.
On number 1, the house symbolizes the site or blog you have, the lot to the domain, and let say the grasses or plants you don't want to see near your house is the ads.
4. Having an own domain would be ideal since you could get a shorter url, the address of your site. For example, you have a site which name is wwwdotimmedotwhateveritis dotcom (replace the word dot with .) and it is a long url. While when you have your own domain it could be just wwwdotimmedotcom, or .net, or .de, or .org, etc.
5. And when you decide on having an own domain, the step you need to do is the Domain name registration . You have to register the site name you want to use. For example you want to register for a site name ImMe, type the site name ImMe and choose whether you want ImMe.com, ImMe.org, or ImMe.net. And if the name is still available you could have it. The price of having a domain name is less than $15 a year. And that is for the whole year.
So if you are planning to register a domain name, it is better to do it now and see if the name is still available because when you do it later, or in the next days, the name would have been taken.
Also, when you are planning to name a site, think about it, make it something that your potential site visitor would easily remember.
Yayz!! ^.^ Weekend here you come! I'm just happy weekend is about to come again! No internship to go to and no work to attend to ^.< My day? Kinda busy. I even haven't time to update my Tagalog movie / teleserye site You-Vies on Wednesdays and Thursdays, and yeah had affected my Adsense earnings.
About my internship, well, I'm not nervous now and I don't have this butterflies in my tummy like in my first week. I'm enjoying it now on the clinic. I still have a lot to learn and sometimes I still need to ask Ms. L if there's something I'm not sure with or has to clarify. But thanks a lot she's so nice and she got the patience ^.^
About my brother? *sigh* He had failed his road exam. He only got one mistake and that is his speed. His driving 40 - 45 mph and he said his examiner wants it to be exactly 50 mph. And btw, he took it on San Ysidro. Geez, his only mistake is that speed >.< And I've been hoping a lot that his going to get his license for that first time.
That's why... I'm really happy its Friday tomorrow. And if Friday's near, that means weekend is just around. ^.^

Lamps, something that I can't live without. Why? Because I'm scared of the dark, and if there's a lamp, there's a light. I even always use a night light when I go to bed. Even the smallest form of light would do.

At last, the day that I've felt nervous about had passed.. the internship. Yeah, I've started on my clinic internship for Phlebotomy/MLA. We have been waiting for our hospital internship and while we were waiting for our turn there on Scripps hospital, we had decided (my classmate and friend and me) to start training on a near clinic to see and get the experience on what goes around inside a laboratory, and got lucky that the Phlebotomist there had allowed us.
My friend had started last Monday, 18th of August and I started Tuesday, the following day Aug. 19. OMG, I was nervous and had been thinking the day before on what's gonna happen on that first day for me. ^.^
And guess what? Yeah, it turned out to be great! The Phlebotomist is really nice, and I already draw blood from 7 patients that afternoon using the vacutainer. I'm still getting to know the employees around and on where things are, and what to do on some cases. I still got these butterflies on my tummy sometimes, but its exciting ^.^
So far I had 11 internship hours for 3 days, still a long way to go since I got to complete 180 hours. Hope by that time I'm good enough. For those who knows me well, (I know myself well) lolz, I'm a negative thinker most of the time. And yeah, I know its not good. But remember, I said I was thinking of things, and imagining things in what will happend on my first day? Yeah, I'm always like that ^.^ And I'm really glad it went fine, really fine.
