The other day at the lab, we we're talking about Mexico. We have a medical assistant living in Rosarito and she would cross the border 3 - 5 hours going back and forth. And that's how the vacation talk started.
We had asked questions about what's the best places to go to in Mexico, beaches, and such and the cost of living there. And we had learned that there are people, like Chinese and Americans who are also living in Mexico and had their properties bought there because the prices are cheaper.
And that's when our lab Phlebotomist had said ," Oh, why don't we plan to visit Rosarito. I've been here in CA for a long time but I haven't been in Mexico, so maybe we could go and visit there one of these days." Of course with the other Mexican medical assistants, because they know the place well, and it would be much fun with them. Also, they said we could do a vacation home rentals for the weekend because it doesn't cost that much.
And aside from searching images of scenic spots, and beaches, I've also search online about places in Rosarito that rents rooms and I found places to choose from on Homeaway.com that has a rate ranges from $165 (per person) to $250 - $300/night (per property) in USD. Sounds like a great deal for a night compares to other places when having fun is the subject. ^.^
Aside from my fascination on the internet, blogging, and doing my sites, there's still times when I feel like I want to hold a pen and just draw something.
I love to draw when I was a kid. I have lots of coloring books, and I have a notebook and I would draw animals, things, and clothes from the coloring book and I remember my dad says, " It's already in there on the book, why do you have to draw it again.?" grinning.
And now, there's still times when I would grab my notebook and do some drawing. Sometimes I even thought that maybe when I didn't stop doing it since I was a kid, maybe I was into art right now, a painter or, on fashion design ? Aside from those tv commercials about fashion design and taking the classes, I've also heard it is also a great job. I actually know someone who is now a fashion designer, and is having a good life and a good career out of it.
For sure, it is something you loves doing that would be a great choice for a career, whether it would be on the art, on the medical field, entertainment, etc. But for those who loves drawing, sketching, designing clothes, fashion design might be the one career suited for you, so keep doing what you doing, and it will get you there. There's a lot of information you can get about it, it could be online, on brochures, and your friends, or someone you know who's actually doing it. Your friends or family member who has a knowledge on how you can get there is actually the perfect person on getting the information you need, and online too.
My friend for more than 2 years now had arrived from 1 week vacation in the Philippines to pick her mother up. She arrived last Friday, the 19th of September but we didn't see each other 'till yesterday when she drop by to the clinic where we're both doing our internship to pick me up for our "every Thursday school report." And we're just about 10 minutes drive from each other's house. ^.^
And yes, I got some pasalubong from her, tupig, baby espada's, watermelon seeds (butong pakwan), and a Likas Papaya soap which I've been also using when I was still in the Philippines.
I dropped by to her house to pick those things up and also to meet her newly arrived mother. And yeah, she's nice, and cheerful. ^.^
And I surely enjoyed those pasalubong! Those baby espada's would be great for tomorrow's breakfast with rice! ^.^
Omg, September is almost done and it's gonna be October soon! Somehow just thinking that October is just around the corner, I don't like it to come too soon. It would mean that my brother would be leaving soon for his bootcamp. I would miss him fixing the computer everytime the computer got a virus, a spyware, or adware. Lolz ^.^
On other hand, the FilAmFestival would be on October too, October 4, which happens to be my brother's 19th birthday also. I'm looking forward on that festival, it's gonna be fun. The festival would be on Paradise Valley Road and that would mean the road will be close on October 4th, and it's always that way. There's gonna be cultural dancing, singing, foods, etc.
And we still don't know if we're gonna be there taking cholesterol test again for people. ^.^ The first time we did it was in Kimbal Park last September 14 (Sunday) and it's really busy. We started 12 noon and ended 7 pm. I even had eaten my piece of pizza after we had finished. >.< But it's really a great experienced though, for me and my fellow intern.
So let's wait for October! And hope you guyz would enjoy this weekend! ^.^
Ring of love? *grins* yeah, I'm talking about engagement ring. Reminds me of my brother. The other day, we went to the mall, in Plaza Bonita because he wanted to change the ring he bought for his girlfriend. He said it won't fit her finger.
And when we're there, he asked me what's the beautiful ring on the display? And I said, "what ring are you considering to buy? A ring that would fit your budget would be ideal. Why? Are you considering Diamonds ? And he said no. Just something to give for her birthday.
There's a lot of Fine Jewelry that he could choose from. Before that, we also had bought a bracelet but it wouldn't fit her wrist. So now he decided to buy a ring instead. I even joke if it's an Engagement Rings , one for each of them, and he just smiled.
Also two weeks from now my brother would be leaving for his bootcamp. Maybe he would want to leave her something for a remembrance before he left. His about to turn 19 and she's 17. But rings? I'm also thinking, are they that serious?! What I know is rings are only given between girlfriends and boyfriends when they're engage.
Hmmnn.... but for rings, love is in the air.

We live in a simple house, most likely like the houses in the Philippines and we're in a province. There's a storm and the flood is getting higher into our place. Our neighboors are already living the place but there's also few that is still left, including us.
I went outside to see some other neighboors living the area, carrying their belongings on hands and on shoulders. The muddy flood is getting higher. I went back inside the house to tell my family (my dad and my brother was there inside) that we also have to leave our house. The first thing I told my brother is "Get the computer, and the important papers," and I had also said to bring and I have pick up even the non important things. There's a truck in the garage just like my uncle's truck and we put things there.
The second part of the dream:
There's hills, I am standing there and some men riding in horses passed by. I admired the horses, they look great. And there's this one white horse that passed by me without someone riding on it, then came along the other brown horses with the men riding on them. They passed by and look on me.
Then I was running fast, there's this chairs that's lined up on the way where I was heading and I hop successfully on each chair while I was running. I was running fast heading that mountain. And I reached it, I am there now running on the mountain, almost on the top, sometimes I slowed down but I'm still going. And I reached this people walking, (not running) they're just walking ahead of me and they were chatting and I walk with them.
Third dream part:
I was in a house with robots. Robots are everywhere and I was watching and talking with some of these robots.
Note: Dream happened last week ( Sept. 8 Mon. - Sept. 12 Friday) can't remember the exact day.
Notes:
= September 14 I'm at the Kimball Park to take cholesterol test at the Mexican festival, busy day.
= September 15 Monday, (the whole week) so much had happened for me in a high speed moment. Things I did that I didn't imagine I will be doing, that I have to overcome but I did. At those moment, there's these people that had helped me but there's this one that I won't forget who had helped me a lot on that mountaneous place that I went to.
To me it seems like the horses who passed me by while I was standing on that montaneous place represents the people that will help me. And the white horse? It is this one lady that gave me all the help I need on that place that I went that day, September 15, and I had learned we came from the same country and from the same place. Weird? Coincedence? And in the dream I am running fast hopping on that chairs toward the mountain. Yes, all those things had happened to me last week September 15 - September 19 really fast. And I'm glad its over now, I hope so.
I'm glad the whole week is over! Too much had happened for me this week! So hello weekend^.^
Hope everyone is also having and enjoying thier weekend on the mall, watching their favorite tv shows on the couch, or having a barbecue on the backyard with friends or family.
Having your car malfunctioning is something to really worry about. What is your car really worth? It's the most means of transportation to most of us, our cars gets us where we going and back home. But sometimes even lifeless, vehicles, I say, also experiences their own sickness. And that's what had just happened to our Toyota Corolla.
And when the car gets sick, the hard part is to find the best mechanic and to find the best accessories and parts specific to your car.
Three weeks before, we went to someone who knows how to check and repair car problems, just near our place. He said that what causes the burned gas-liked smell was that the car's running out of collant. And he said we need to come back again because the radiator and thermostat also needs to be change. Unfortunately, 3 weeks had passed and we still hadn't came back to his place until yesterday when the situation got worse, a lot of white smoke is coming out and temperature's getting hot. And he said the thermostat and the radiator is really need to be change, and the change oil has to be done and that's what he did. So we're really thankful that the car is in good condition now.
And we're really thankful that we got to know him, and he had earned our trust. Another thing we appriciate is he only ask for cheap amount for labor, we only paid for $150 for all the things he had done.
And for those like us who also doesn't know to much about car repairs and what to do,or what accessories and parts our vehicle needs, I think we should start searching informations online on Driverside website . There are also other useful links and information on Driverside site for car owners planning to sell their vehicles, new and used autos for sale and on finding a mechanic.
Stem cells, one of the human body's master cells had been discovered to be able to cure illnesses. Isn't that amazing? I've been hearing the word stem cells and had been discussing about it on our Science class eversince elementary, and if there's something I remember about these cells is that, stem cells are both able to renew themselves.
And now the news that stem cells can be preserved and stored for future use is another great discovery. What I have learned online from C'elle website is that these stem cells can be gathered from a woman's monthly period. That a woman's monthly contains stem cells that can be collected for future uses and that these cells can provide potential cure to illnesses such as osteoporosis, heart disease, and even Parkinson’s disease and Alzheimer’s disease.
C'elle provides the opportunity for women to collect and preserve their stem cells that can be harvested from the body's menstrual fluid. When you decided to preserve your mentstrual cycle's stem cells for future uses you can use the code CN200 to save $200. These stem cells can also be use by your loved ones, children, parents in case they need it in the future for unexpected illnesses. C'elle will send you a collection kit complete with everything needed to collect and send your C'elle menstrual stem cells for processing and preservation. C'elle Client Testimonial can also be watch on the C'elle's website. You can also chat with a C'elle representative live or call them on the number 1-877-892-3553, 24/7 if you have any questions.

Radio, one of the most source of entertainment for people. Even when I a small kid I remember I used to listen to radio for dramas and it's our source of news.
And now, as technology moves forward, here's television. And television now is on HD (and there's a news that on year 2009, which is next year by the way) it's all gonna be HD TV. What about radio? Even radio now is on HD, HD radio.
And on the bright side of this HD radio, specially for those who loves to listen on radio news and music is there's gonna be no hissing sound on your radio and audio distortion. It's all crystal-clear reception with new stations, new artists, new music genres, and you can even find and listen from music abroads.
And for those who have iPods, HD radio has iPod tagging . So whenever you heared a song on the radio that you like, you could use tag to tag that song and it will be save into your iPod from your HD Radio Receiver . And when you sync your iPod to the computer, the tagged song will then show up to your iTunes "tagged" section. You can then buy that song you tagged into the Apple iTunes Music Store.
All the new stations, new features,Texas High Definition Radio stations , real time artists, song IDs, and the digital quality with no hissing sound, distortion, station drop off and all that are all free, it's just the HD radio you have to get for those features.
Happy HD listening ^.^

We, Filipinos, has a lot of borrowed Spanish words that we used everyday in our Tagalog language. Some Tagalog word spelling may differ from Spanish word spelling but the meaning are the same.
Here's all the Spanish words that we used on our Tagalog language that I could think of:
kutsara/kutchara= tablespoon
kutcharita/kutsarita= spoon
mesa = table
kutis = skin
tuwalya = towel
oras/horas = hours
kama (Tagalog) cama (Spanish)= bed (English)
telebisyon = television
grasya/ gracia = grace e.i. food, good health, etc.
makina (Tagalog) maquina (Spanish) = machine (English)
lababo = sink
banyo = toilet, comfort room
kuwarto/kuarto/cuarto = room
minuto = minutes
petsa (Tagalog ) pecha (Spanish) = date (English)
radyo (Tagalog) radio (Spanish) = radio (English)
musika (Tagalog) musica (Spanish) = music (English)
= Also most of our names and last names are also Spanish words. For example are names like Juan, Julio, Marina, Juanita, etc.
= For last names examples are Guevarra, Paje, Anza, Agoncillo, Marquez, De Mesa, etc.
= Also hours. 9 : 00 or 9 am in Tagalog is ika siyam ng umaga, but we, Filipinos barely used it, instead we use English in reading hours and sometimes, we read it in Spanish alas nuebe/nueve.
It's all I can think of now. I'll add more words If I remember some more ^.^
"Miss Ko" things?! Here's some things that I used to do in the Philippines that, sometimes I still miss doing in some times. ^.<
1. Number one miss ko is, our roof top ^.^ Whenever I have problems, I wanna be alone, or I have something to think off, I would go there, specially when the moon is up and there are stars in the night sky. Just seeing the stars and the moon at that peaceful night sky calms my soul. I'ts just lovely up there.
2. I missed my friends companionship. My bestfriend would visit me, or I would visit here and then we go somewhere else we could think off. Sometimes on the mall, park, or we would visit our other friends house and we would then pick fresh green mangoes, coconut, etc.
3. My room.... kinda like my sanctuary. Sometimes, I still imagine I was there, miss all the things that in there.
4. And, last but not the least, sometimes I wonder what if I still have textmates in here. I have lots of textmates back then, cyber friends to chat and text with with nonesense messages ^.^ with all that twinkling/animated graphics.. some sweet graphics and some are annoying ones. >.<
