Just took some time to light my own virtual candle for Holy Week, Biyernes Santo in the Philippines, or Viernes Santo in Spanish.

Holy Week is widely honored in the Philippines as Christ sacrificed himself for all mankind. Filipinos participate in processions, pabasa(reading bible verses til the following day, started from the evening,) having festivals on different provinces such as the Moriones Festival in Oriental Mindoro and Marinduque and Penetensya, as what they call it in Zambales province. Penetensya participants used their own belts to hit their backs until it bleeds. As Christs sacrifice himself, they will too, doing this is believe to lessen their sins. People also participates in processions, and go to churches.

As I was looking for animated candle gifs to paste here along with my post, I stumbled into a site which let me light my own virtual candle. This is better, for me, I think rather than posting a glowing candle here. This allows you also to say few words for lighting your candle, dedicate it, and meditate.

I just want to share this virtual candle site for you all.  Use it for Holy Week.
