It is not that hard to build traffic to your site or blog if you know the tecniques. But yes, it might be a little hard for you when you've just starting building a blog or a site, but as you go on you will get the hang of it. Some tecniques that I've used are as follows:

1. Get to know other bloggers from your blogs domain specially if you are new to the blog site. Visit and comment on their articles and they will visit yours too. This simpliest step starts friendship among bloggers.

2. Stick on a specific theme if you can. There are specific topic in life that you've had more knowledge to write about in your blog. It could be tips for home decorations, making money online, tourist spots, and tips on layouts, Astrology, etc. Stick to one theme and write good contents. These may make your site visitors come back or even bookmark your blog or site and even suggest it to their firends to visit if you have a good content.

3. Submit your blog or site to search engines. This is probably the best step to get more visitors to your site. Google and AskJeeves are examples of these search engines.

4. Submit your blog to blog search engines and blog directories. These is in addition on submitting your blog to search engines. And there are lots of free blog directories and blog search engines that you can sign up to.

5. Leave your blog or site links to cbox's. This is the very first step I've done to get visitors everyday until I learned about blog directories.  I will visit other bloggers blogs, leave comments in their post and leave messages in their cbox's, like the one you can see on the left side of my blog. In this way visitors visiting their blogs and posting on their cbox's can see your link and visit yours too. Bloggers used different kinds of chatterboxes but the famous one that many bloggers used is cbox and shoutmix.

6. Plug your blog or site to plugboards. There are lots of plugboards out there where you can plug your blog and websites. These allows other pluggers to visit your page. You can see a link to my own plugboard on the left side below the fairy if you're not familiar with a plugboard.

These tecniques had help me get more visitors everyday. And its cool when you log in to your blog and see at least two or three visitors currently reading your post. Hope these steps will help you build visitors to your site and blog too. Happy blogging.
