This would be a short blog entry explaining the difference about restart, reboot and restore. I just wanted to blog about this according to my experience about the three because I just don't agree on some of the meanings I've read when I googled it online.

Ok, here's a direct to the point, short meaning of the differences of these three:

1. RESTART = Let's start with re-start first. Re-start is simply as turning your computer off and on again by clicking on the START on the buttom left side of your computer, clicking on "Turn Off Computer" and then selecting "Restart," that is restart.

2. RESTORE = Now on restore, re-store means selecting an earlier time frame on which your computer is working properly and set it on that date and time. It's like "going back to the past."

RESTORE is the first choice I used to cure my computer when it slows down due to pop ups, spyware, adware, malware, virus, etc. by selecting an earlier time in which the computer is working just fine. Also restore is reversible unlike, rebooting.

3. REBOOT= Now, this is the last choice when I can't "restore" my computer to an earlier time. Rebooting is like "your computer being new again" because rebooting is destructive, in a way that it clears all the files, pictures on your desktop, favorites, all the installed program will be lost, YM will be gone, etc. You can compare "reboot" to like having a total amnesia, or like I said, being "new" again. So after you had reboot your computer you gotta install those lost program again, download your pictures again from your camera to your desktop, save your favorite sites again, install YM, install the printer again and all that. And it is really like being a new bought computer because your going to have a free antivirus subscription again (just like when your computer was newly bought/brand new) that will protect you from virus attacks which is good for 30 days to 2 months.

And because "rebooting" is destructive because it clears out all your files, I suggest that before doing this, jot down all your favorites sites that you had saved,upload your desktop pictures to your photobucket account, (if you have one,) save your documents, your videos and all that is important.
